The City of Granby contracts with an outside waste management company for solid waste collection. Everyone within the city limits is required to have garbage collection and all residential customers within the city limits are encouraged to recycle if possible. The City has currently contracted for waste disposal with GFL. The city also provides a recycle center at 700 Fortune Teller Rd. Both links are provided below.
Most trash and debris, when bundled and/or contained properly, can be disposed of at curbside with your regular garbage service days. You will need to contact GFL if waste needs picked up that will not fit in your blue or green container. When are the garbage collection days for my street?
Waste pickup days are scheduled as follows: If you live North of 60 Hwy, trash is picked up on Tuesdays. If you live South of 60 Hwy, trash is picked up on Thursdays. During weeks that include holidays...trash will be moved to day after your scheduled day.
What if I have more trash than will fit in the container?
Additional containers may be obtained for a small fee, or you may take excess to the Recycyle Center and place in large metal dumptster.
